AFTER THE FALL

2017

AFTER THE FALL was an experimental project which took place during a three month residency at the outdoor ELEMENTS GALLERY curated by Rebecca Feiner at Lubomirov Angus Hughes Gallery in Hackney, east London.

On the 17th February a large sculptural installation based on the artist’s fingerprint was burnt in the yard. The event itself and the material left behind after the fire were then used as a catalyst to create further works resulting in a series of three seperate installations each exploring ideas about fragility, resilience and identity.

AFTER THE FALL was largely autobiographical. In 2013 the artist suffered a serious accident followed by a period of depression and the work which incorporates film, animation, sound, photography performance and sculpture is an investigation of that experience.
